Overview#

ACK organizes your Jira @mentions into four views, accessible via tabs at the top of the dashboard. Each view shows a paginated list of mentions with contextual information about the issue, the person involved, and a brief preview of the mention.

Inbox#

The Inbox is your primary view. It shows all @mentions directed at you that haven’t been acknowledged yet.

Each row displays:

• Who mentioned you — avatar and display name, linked to the user’s Jira profile
• Issue context — issue key, type icon, and summary, linked directly to the issue or comment
• Brief preview — the first portion of the mention text for quick context
• Timestamp — time if today, date otherwise

Actions#

• Ack — mark the mention as acknowledged; it moves to your Inbox History
• Open — jump to the issue or comment in Jira

Actions appear on hover or can be triggered via keyboard shortcuts.

Sent Tracking#

The Sent tab shows mentions you’ve directed at other users that are still pending acknowledgment. This gives you visibility into whether your messages have been noticed.

Each row displays:

• Who you mentioned — avatar and display name
• Issue context — same as Inbox
• Brief preview — the mention text
• Timestamp

When a recipient acknowledges your mention, it moves to your Sent History.

History#

Both the Inbox and Sent views have a History toggle that shows previously acknowledged items.

• Inbox History — mentions directed at you that you’ve acknowledged
• Sent History — mentions you sent that recipients have acknowledged

From History, you can Undo an acknowledgment to move an item back to the active view if you need to revisit it.

Bulk Operations#

ACK supports bulk actions for efficient processing:

• Select individual items using the checkbox on each row
• Select all items on the current page with the header checkbox or Ctrl + A
• Ack Selected / Undo Selected — applies the action to all checked items at once

This is especially useful when catching up on a backlog of mentions.

Pagination#

Each view displays 20 items per page with cursor-based pagination.

• Use the Previous and Next buttons to navigate between pages
• A page indicator shows your current range (e.g., “1-20”)
• Keyboard shortcuts Alt + Left and Alt + Right also navigate pages

Keyboard Shortcuts#

ACK is designed for keyboard-first interaction. Press ? to open the keyboard help overlay at any time.

Theme Support#

ACK automatically adapts to your Jira theme preference. Both light and dark modes are fully supported.
