ACK adds a lightweight acknowledgment layer to Jira mentions. It captures every @mention directed at you into a single inbox, letting you read, review, and acknowledge work in seconds — without cluttering comment threads with “seen” or “ok” replies.

Introduction#
In fast-moving teams, Jira @mentions are everywhere: questions, clarifications, decision points, visibility pings. But silence is ambiguous — was it seen? Is a reply coming? Should someone follow up?
ACK introduces a simple concept: acknowledgment without the conversation, but with full collaborative efficiency.
Every @mention is captured into a personal dashboard where you quickly review context and mark items as acknowledged. That status becomes visible to your teammates, eliminating guesswork and reducing low-value follow-ups.

Sent Tracking#
See the status of mentions you’ve sent to others. Know which ones have been acknowledged and which still need attention.
Bulk Acknowledgment#
Select multiple mentions and acknowledge them in a single action. Handle your inbox efficiently without processing items one by one.
Keyboard-First Navigation#
Navigate your inbox, select items, acknowledge mentions, and switch views entirely from the keyboard. Designed for power users who want speed.
History#
Review previously acknowledged mentions at any time. Undo an acknowledgment if you need to revisit something.

Installation#
Follow this straightforward guide to install ACK on your Jira Cloud instance.
- Access Atlassian Marketplace: Log in to your Jira Cloud instance and navigate to
Apps>Explore more apps. - Search for ACK: Type “ACK” in the search bar and open the app.
- Install & Confirm: Click
Get appand confirm any prompts. - Access ACK: After installation, navigate to
Apps>ACKto open the mentions inbox.
Quick Start#
Acknowledging Your First Mention#
- Navigate to
Apps>ACKto open the ACK dashboard - Your Inbox shows all unacknowledged @mentions directed at you
- Review a mention — you’ll see who mentioned you, the issue context, and a brief preview
- Click the Ack button on a row (or press
Ctrl + Enter) to acknowledge it - The mention moves to your History and your teammate sees it’s been acknowledged
Checking Sent Mentions#
- Switch to the Sent tab to see mentions you’ve directed at others
- Each item shows whether the recipient has acknowledged it
- Switch to Sent History to see completed items
Working in Bulk#
- Use checkboxes (or
Spacekey) to select multiple mentions - Click Ack Selected (or press
Ctrl + Shift + Enter) to acknowledge all at once - Use
Ctrl + Ato select all items on the current page
